The award comes from the U.S. Department of Education.<\/p>\n<p>Program participants attend a residential six-week summer session on the APSU campus. During the academic year, program personnel travel to the target high schools in the three-counties to provide academic, career and financial aid counseling. Additionally, participants travel to APSU for monthly Saturday Sessions for instruction, tutoring and cultural events.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, 80 to 90 percent of the program participants have enrolled in postsecondary education immediately following high school graduation.<\/p>\n<p>TCUB has been in place at APSU since 1999.
