Clarksville, TN<\/strong> \u2013 Miss Tennessee USA pageant officials have announced that applications are being accepted from young women throughout the state who would like to compete in this year\u2019s Miss Tennessee USA and Teen USA Pageants.<\/p>\n

Applications for the pageant can be found on www.misstennesseeusa.com<\/a> under the \u201cApply Now\u201d section.<\/p>\n

Clarksville will host the 2013 Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageants at the Austin Peay State University Music and Mass Communications Building Concert Hall on October 5th through 6th, 2012. This will be Clarksville\u2019s 13th year hosting the pageants.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Miss Tennessee USA organization is excited to be bringing the pageant to Clarksville again this year and hosting the talented and amazing young women from across the state,\u201d said Pageant Director, Kim Greenwood.<\/p>\n

Qualified applicants must be a resident of Tennessee, a single female (never married and never had a child) and a United States citizen. Those wishing to apply must be between 18 and 27-years-old for Miss Tennessee USA or 14 and 19-years-old for the Teen pageant as of February 1st, 2013.<\/p>\n

If selected to participate, delegates will be judged in three equal categories consisting of personal interview, swimsuit and evening wear competitions. The new titleholders will be awarded a prize package that includes scholarships and the opportunity to compete for the title of MISS USA and MISS TEEN USA, respectively.<\/p>\n

A seminar for contestants will be held in Clarksville on Sunday, September 9th at the Riverview Inn, 50 College Street. Tickets will go on sale Monday, September 10th, starting at 9:00am.
