The City of Clarksville Parks &amp; Recreation Department along with Manna Caf\u00e9, L.E.A.P. Organization, Workforce Essentials, Miller-Motte Technical College, BFS Insurance and Coca-Cola\u00ae will be offering extended hours and lots of great activities at two Parks &amp; Recreation facilities as a part of the Mayor\u2019s Summer Night Lights program. Summer Night Lights is free and open to youth and families of all ages.<\/p>\n<p>Summer Night Lights will feature two locations of summer fun, the Kleeman Community Center and the Burt-Cobb Community Center coupled with Dixon Park, beginning Thursday, June 14th. Summer Night Lights kicks off at the Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane. Festivities at this site will occur every Thursday from 6:00pm to 9:30pm and will include a basketball league, fitness classes, organized games and more!<\/p>\n<p>The Burt-Cobb\/Dixon Park site, located at 1101 Franklin Street and 117 South 10th Street, will be offering an outdoor basketball league, organized games and more, each Friday evening from 6:00pm to 10:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Summer Night Lights will run weekly, through Friday, August 3rd.<\/p>\n<h3>Summer Playhouse at the Roxy<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-64060\" title=\"Roxy Regional Theatre\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/Roxy-Regional-Theatre-Logo.jpg\" alt=\"Roxy Regional Theatre\" width=\"116\" height=\"142\" \/>This six-week theatre workshop offered by The Roxy Regional Theatre is still accepting registration. Young people will learn the fundamentals of acting and even participate in a theatre performance on July 12th at the Roxy from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The program is offered to ages 10-16.<\/p>\n<p>Program spaces are limited, so hurry in to register. Registration will require a $30.00 fee, which can be paid at the Parks and Recreation Office. You may register anytime after the program\u2019s June 4th opening, but the fee remains the same so act now!<\/p>\n<h3>American Twisters Tumbling Camp<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-124130\" title=\"American Twisters\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/American-Twisters.gif\" alt=\"American Twisters\" width=\"250\" height=\"38\" \/>Campers ages 6-16 can learn to roll, flip and turn with instructor Kellie Olson, June 11th-14th, June 25th-28th, or July 2nd-6th (no class July 4th) from 9:00am to 11:30am at American Twisters Tumbling, located at 438 Kelly Lane.<\/p>\n<p>Cost of the camp is $40.00 per child. Registration will take place at American Twisters Tumbling. For more information, call 931.645.7476.<\/p>\n<h3>World\u2019s Largest Swimming Lesson<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-82691\" title=\"Girl in swimming pool\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Girl-in-swimming-pool-200x76.jpg\" alt=\"Girl in swimming pool\" width=\"200\" height=\"76\" \/>The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites citizens to take part, as water parks, pools and other aquatic facilities across the world attempt to break the Guinness World Record of the World\u2019s Largest Swimming Lesson on June 14th at Beachaven, New Providence, Bel-Aire, Swan Lake and Smith pools at 10:00am. Participants can register online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com or the day of the event.<\/p>\n<h3>The Rooted Wings to play at Jammin\u2019 in the Alley<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"2012 Jammin' in the Alley\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/2012-Jammin-in-the-Alley.gif\" alt=\"2012 Jammin' in the Alley\" width=\"136\" height=\"130\" \/>The City of Clarksville and U.S. Bank will soon be jammin\u2019 once again, Friday, June 15th in downtown Clarksville\u2019s Strawberry Alley. This month\u2019s free concert will feature the acoustic based duet, The Rooted. Free concerts begin at 7:00pm and take place every third Friday of the month thru October.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the live music and market vendors, downtown restaurants will offer outdoor dining for Jammin\u2019 in the Alley and night market patrons.
