Dunbar Cave SNA is home to some of our most clever crayfish\u2013the mudbugs, or burrowers.<\/p>\n<p>Bring boots you don\u2019t mind getting wet and gloves you don\u2019t mind getting dirty.<!--more-->If the raccoons don\u2019t beat us to it, we will learn how to coax crayfish out of active burrows (\u201cnoodling\u201d) and identify them to species.<\/p>\n<p>We will meet at the Dunbar Cave office at 10:00am CT and hike to the margins of Dunbar Lake where we will begin our hike.<\/p>\n<p>We will follow the loop trail looking for fresh crayfish chimneys and their occupants.<\/p>\n<h3>Leaders<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>David Withers<\/strong>, Natural Heritage Program Zoologist<\/li>\n<li><strong>Robin Wooten<\/strong>, Natural Areas Program Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This trip is limited to 15 guests.
