I am happy that we are able to offer some funding assistance for organizations that qualify for these funds,” said Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan.

In order to qualify for the funds, each organization must provide the application and: (1) a letter from the Internal Revenue Service recognizing the organization as holding tax-exempt status and (2) a copy of the most recent organizational financial audit, or in the absence of an audit, the profit and loss statement for the past business year.

After the applications are reviewed for compliance, the qualifying organizations will be asked to appear before the committee to present their funding request and answer any questions about their applications.

The committee members are Councilman David Allen (Chair), Councilwoman Kaye Jones and Councilman Bill Summers.
