Clarksville, TN – The Community School of the Arts at Austin Peay State University is about to kickoff another year of classes and programs for local residents interested in learning more about the arts.
For the last 22 years, the CSA has served students of all ages and skill levels through programs in music, dance and the visual arts, with the goal of promoting and increasing awareness of the arts throughout the surrounding area.
On January 18th, that tradition continues as a new round of classes open to the community is set to begin.
The classes and programs for this semester include:
- Individual music lessons
- Suzuki violin lessons for ages 4 and older
- Beginning class guitar for ages 15 and older
- Continuing class piano I for ages 5-7
- Continuing class piano II for ages 5-7
- Continuing class piano for adults
- Clarksville Youth Chorus for ages 8-12
- Clarksville Teen Singers for ages 13-18
- Clarksville Community Chorus for ages 18 and older
- Youth string orchestra
- High School Flute Choir
- Advanced Percussion Ensemble
- Music theory
- Kindermusik for ages 6 months to 4 years
- individual art lessons for ages 7 and older
- Beginning pottery for ages 8-14
- Ceramics for ages 15 and older
- Painting with watercolors for ages 8-14
- Introduction to Black and White Photography in the Darkroom for ages 15 and older
- Introduction to Digital Photography for ages 15 and older
- Digital Photography and Photoshop for ages 15 and older
- Mixed Media: Collage Elements for ages 15 and older
- Journaling with Mixed Media for ages 15 and older
- Ballet
