Clarksville, TN – On Friday, November 4th, 2016, the Austin Peay State University Center for Excellence for the Creative Arts’ literary journal Zone 3 will celebrate its 30th anniversary with readings by a number of award-winning former contributors and editors at 4:00pm.
The event, which takes place in the Franklin Room at F&M Bank in downtown Clarksville, is free and open to the public.

Austin Peay State University Creative School Of The Arts to host One-Day Creative Writing Workshops Series

Clarksville, TN – In the spring of 2013, an essay titled “The Birds of South America” landed on the desk of Dr. Amy Wright, Austin Peay State University associate professor of languages and literature. It was 28 pages long.
“It’s a very long essay,” Wright said. “I took one look at it and I thought, I don’t know if we should devote that much printed space to one piece.”
