Rivers and Spires Festival fights chilly weather on second day of festival

Clarksville, TN – The second day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires festival opened with an unseasonable chill in the air, but that didn’t stop the crowds for coming out for the second day of this wonderful three day festival held in Historic Downtown Clarksville Tennessee.
On the first day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires Festival I concentrated mostly on the musical entertainment, today I engaged in one of the most popular activities at the festival, people watching!

Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Festival kicked off last night with performances by several outstanding bands that rocked Downtown Clarksville. The Festival continues tonight at 5:00pm with more music and activities for the entire family.
Chris Monhollen a multi-talented musician and award winning vocalist from Clarksville, Tennessee hits the Family Fun Stage at 5:00pm. He has performed in numerous shows and local festivals in the Middle Tennessee area.

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville together with U.S. Bank will be Jammin’ in Strawberry Alley again on Friday, August 17th, 2012. Join us for this month’s free concert and “night market”, featuring more than a dozen vendors from Clarksville’s weekly Downtown Market. Vendors will be set up from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, and the concert will begin at 7:00pm.

Jammin’ in the Alley concert series announces this summer’s Line-Up

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Parks and Recreation department is excited to announce the line-up for this summer’s Jammin’ in the Alley.
The annual summer concert series, presented by U.S. Bank, is now in its 5th season and will feature a variety of local talent. In addition to the live music, downtown restaurants will offer outdoor dining for concert-goers.

Clarksville, TN – It’s hard to believe another year has passed and we are ready up for the 10th annual Rivers and Spires Festival, April 19th-21st. As usual there will be tons of free concerts, entertainment and activities. But, because it is our birthday, and we think a big one, the Festival has a few surprises up its sleeve, but you’ll have to come out and see!
If you’ve never been to the Rivers & Spires Festival or are new to town, put it on your calendar and get ready to have a great time. Lined with craft and food vendors, six music stages, kids’ activities and artisan booths, Historic Downtown transforms each year as the festival goes into full swing. Music is a big part of the event, with at least two artists on one of the many stages at any given time. But it doesn’t stop at just music. 6th Annual ‘Frolic on Franklin’ Showcases 30 Artists from Region

Clarksville, TN – Downtown Clarksville’s 6th annual celebration of the arts, “Frolic on Franklin” will take place Saturday, September 17th. Hosted by the Downtown Clarksville Association, the event will showcase the works of 30 local and regional artists along the 100 block of historic Franklin Street.
A variety of original artwork and crafts will be on display including jewelry, pottery, water colors, woodwork, ceramics, glass items, photography and more. Items will be for sale with prices ranging from $2.00 – $2,000. Several artists will also provide demonstrations of their work throughout the day including painting and decorating glass ornaments, making wooden items with lathes, and various types of painting.
