Clarksville’s Heritage Park will host free Movie Screening, Vendors, and Fun.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreations free outdoor movie series Movies in the Park to be held this Saturday, June 8th, 2019 with the showing of “Beauty and the Beast” at Heritage Park located at 1241 Peachers Mill Road.
Pre-show activities, coordinated by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 6:30pm and include a demonstration using liquid nitrogen by Austin Peay State University’s College of STEM.
‘Lego Batman Movie’ next for Movies in the Park

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park, the City’s free, outdoor movie series — continues on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 with the showing of “The Lego Batman Movie” at McGregor Park’s North Extension, 640 North Riverside Drive (behind O’Charleys).
Pre-show activities, coordinated by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 6:00pm.
Clarksville Police Department brings Christmas Cheer to 120 local kids

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, December 14th, 2013, at 8:00am, the Clarksville Police Union and FOP’s, “Shop with a Cop” was a great success. Officers took over 120 local children, from all over Montgomery County, shopping. Each child spent $100 on clothes and toys.
The children were nominated by 18 Montgomery County Elementary school guidance counselors, Clarksville Police Department employees, and Montgomery County citizens. Every effort was made to find children in need, and make sure they received gifts for Christmas.

Salvation Army announces its “Adopt an Angel” holiday gift giving Tree

Clarksville TN – The Salvation Army announces it’s Adopt an Angel Tree program to make a child happy this Holiday Season, beginning Friday November 9th.
The annual holiday gift giving program, for families less fortunate, allows you to select a paper Angel at any one of the area “Angel Trees” then buy clothes, toys or a gift for that child. Then, return that gift to the place of business where you got your Angel, along with the paper Angel securely attached to the gift, no later than Monday, December 10th. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday Hilldale Baptist Church played host to third annual Unity Day celebration. The goal of Unity Day is to build a stronger community by recognizing and joining together religious, governmental and business leaders in fellowship.
Unity Day was founded by Treva Gordon, the owner and publisher of the Convenient Shopper Magazine. “I was watching an awards show on television and I was so inspired by the way they honored the pop star’s and the rap artists. It was wonderful; they had the gift bags, bling bling, the limos, and everything that went with it. That was awesome!” she said to herself.

The Teacher’s Warehouse is a no-cost supply store for area educators to supplement their classrooms with supplies, learning aides, teaching tools and reward incentives for the benefit of students.

Nonprofit organization and community center provide recreation and supplies for youth
On Saturday, July 24th at 12:00pm the L.E.A.P. Organization awarded April Ogburn with Scholarship for her outstanding performance in the LEAP Intern Program and being accepted into Lane College. Trophies were awarded to winners fo each bracket.
As a result to donations from LEAP and the community we were able to collect over 240 packs of paper and other items for the Back to School Bash. This event also gave our youth a positive outlet to fellowship and build teams in a safe and secure environment.
