Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – The 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation will host an Independence Week Carnival July 3rd-7th, 2018. The week long celebration includes an Independence Day ceremony, July 4th.

This event is free to enter and open to the public.

The Independence Day ceremony and concert starts at 6:00pm on Wednesday, July 4th and Fireworks start at 9:30pm. (weather permitting).

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Robert F. Sink Memorial Library is excited to announce that they will host a visiting author for Brunch and a Book in July. During the monthly Brunch gathering on July 15th at noon, Sue Freeman Culverhouse will discuss her recent book, Tennessee Literary Luminaries: From Cormac McCarthy to Robert Penn Warren.

Mrs. Culverhouse is the author of three books including Seven Keys to a Successful Life, To Cure Sometimes, To Comfort Always, and Tennessee Literary Luminaries.

Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires to hold Arm Wrestling Tournament this weekend

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires has added an arm wrestling tournament to this year’s festival. The tournament will be held in the Military Appreciation Area.

There are cash prizes and awards up for grabs and anyone can sign up. Registration will be Friday April 25th, 2014 from 5:00pm-10:00pm and Saturday April 26th, 2014 from 10:00am until noon at the Military Appreciation Zone.

2013 Rivers and Spires Festival wins Five Awards at International Festival Conference

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The 2013 Rivers & Spires Festival walked away from the 58th Annual International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) Convention with five more awards to add to its already impressive, and ever-growing, collection.

The 2013 IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards were announced on September 16th at the IFEA Convention & Expo in Pittsburgh, PA. Theresa Harrington, Executive Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), Doug Barber, Special Events Manager, and Jessica Goldberg, Director of Tourism, were all in attendance to accept the awards.

Rivers and Spires Festival reaches Crescendo with Jo Dee Messina Concert

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN -The final day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires Festival began with absolutely glorious weather. The sun was shining and the sky was that special shade of blue you get after a spring storm. The crowds started showing up even before the 10:00am official opening time.

Dave Loos, Jr. from WJZM 1400 AM was on hand broadcasting Live from the Bill Roberts Thunder Road Automotive and Marine booth just down from the Roxy Regional Theatre. He spent the morning interviewing festival organizers and some of the sponsors.

Rivers and Spires is being held April 18th-20th.

The Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN –  This weekend, the place to be is Downtown Clarksville, Tennessee for the 11th annual Rivers and Spires Festival. The Festival begins Thursday, April 18th and runs through Saturday, April 20th.

The streets will be filled with with craft and food vendors, five music stages, kids’ activities and artisan booths. So come out for a great time.
