Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) and the Fort Campbell Army installation deepened their growing relationship on November 6th, 2019 when the two organizations initiated an Intergovernmental Support Agreement, allowing APSU faculty and students to identify wetland ecosystems within the 105,000-acre Army post.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Madalyn Mercer, Ushma Patel, Joshua Schlensker and Grayson Phillips recently took control of a $300,000 mechatronics training system unpackaged and set up this summer at Austin Peay State University.

Austin Peay State University is on track to be the second university in North America to award a bachelor’s-level Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program, and the University hopes to launch the program as early as fall 2019.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) is on track to be the second university in North America to award a bachelor’s-level Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program, and the University hopes to launch the program as early as fall 2019.

“It’s a highly coveted program that allows students to be Siemens-certified at three levels,” Matthew Anderson, interim chair of the APSU Department of Engineering Technology, said. “First is a certificate, second is an associate degree, third is a bachelor’s degree.”

Dr. Kristine Nakutis named as executive director of the Austin Peay State University Center at Fort Campbell

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Dr. Kristine V. Nakutis has been hired as the executive director of the Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell, effective May 15th, 2017.

A retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, Nakutis comes to Austin Peay from Jackson State Community College, where she has served as veterans affairs coordinator since 2015.

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County School System today announced two new administrative appointments.

Jaime Dye Holder, the theatre arts teacher at Northwest High School, has been selected as the assistant principal at Kenwood Middle School.

Linda Medina-Griffy, assistant principal at Montgomery Central Elementary School, will become the assistant principal at Minglewood Elementary School.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University made its mark on the national stage recently as active duty soldiers, including APSU students, stationed at Fort Campbell traveled to Fort Lee, VA for the 40th Annual Military Culinary Arts Competitive Training Event (MCACTE).

Held March 7th-12th, service members from the U.S. Army, other Department of Defense components and multinational teams squared off for the title of top military chef.

Lend Lease (US) Community Fund offers Scholarship Opportunity to Fort Campbell High School Seniors

Lend LeaseFort Campbell, KY – A special scholarship opportunity is now available to sons and daughters of Service Members who live in a Lend Lease privatized military community, like Campbell Crossing, and attend the installation’s DoDEA high school.

Sponsored by Lend Lease (US) Community Fund, BlueStar Scholarships will award scholarships up to $5,000 to eligible high school seniors. The BlueStar Scholarships program is now open and accepting applications through April 1st, 2015.

Austin Peay State University waiving fees for active duty soldiers at APSU Fort Campbell Center

September 23, 2014

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – A recent change to the U.S. Department of Defenses’ Tuition Assistance program is causing active-duty military personnel to pay out-of-pocket cash for fees associated with pursuing a college education, but Austin Peay State University is working to eliminate this financial burden affecting its military students.

Beginning with the Fall II semester, APSU will waive online fees and technology access fees for active-duty personnel taking classes at the Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell.
