LEAP Charity 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

LEAP OrganizationClarksville, TN – LEAP cordially invites the community to join them for a Charity 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on March 15th, 2014 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at West Creek High School located at 1210 West Creek Coyote Trail.

This full day of exciting hardwood action is both recreational and competitive as team’s battle on the court for trophies, prizes, and bragging rights.

The real drive at the Charity Tournament is not the basketball itself, but rather to help LEAP serve the needs of children who are living in our community.

Austin Peay State University Hall of Fame to reach 100 members as Bailey, Haynes, Holt to be inducted Saturday

APSU Sports: APSU Hall of Fame

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Jay Bailey, an All-American running back who owns the school single-season rushing record; Ashley Haynes, the versatile forward who scored 1,000 points and grabbed 1,000 rebounds in her illustrious career, and Cheryl Holt, who led Austin Peay volleyball to 19 straight Ohio Valley Conference tournament appearances, including the 1991 tourney title, will be inducted into the University’s Athletics Hall of Fame, Saturday.

The 9:00am, induction ceremonies in the Dunn Center’s front lobby will see the APSU Athletic Hall of Fame grow to 107. The newest inductees and their families also will be honored during halftime ceremonies of APSU men’s basketball home contest against UT Martin.

Professional Basketball Team Comes to UrbanFest

American Basketball Associations’ newest team; Nashville Soul, will participate in annual festival

Nashville SoulClarksville, TN — Nashville has the Titans, the Predators and now the Souls. The newest team to hit Tennessee; the Nashville Soul; will be at UrbanFest.

“We want to raise awareness about the team, it’s a lot of local players (Clarksville’s own Trenton Hassell), and some of the home games will be played in Clarksville,” says team owner John Rowe. “…UrbanFest is an awesome event and we will have some players and staff there as well;” he adds. 2011 Clarksville Sports Festival to feature a variety of sports, athletic and outdoor activities this weekend

Clarksville Sports FestivalClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is kicking off its first-annual Clarksville Sports Festival to be held March 25th-26th, at the Foy Fitness Center located on the campus of Austin Peay State University, with a variety of sports, athletic and outdoor activities for the entire family.

The two-day celebration of sports and athletics in Clarksville and Montgomery County will feature several “zones” that will include not only clinics, demonstrations and interactive areas, but also seminars and even an exposition area where over 25 of Clarksville and Montgomery County’s athletic and outdoor clubs and organizations will come together in one location. Trenton Hassell to do coin toss at Clarksville Fox game

The Clarksville Fox semi-professional full contact women’s football team will be taking on the Lousiville Nightmare this Saturday, May 15th at 7:00 pm at Northwest High School (800 Lafayette Road).

Trenton Hassell of the NBA New Jersey Nets, APSU basketball star and Clarksville High School graduate, will perform the pre-game coin toss. Hassell will also be available for autographs.

The Clarksville Fox are semi-professional full contact women’s football team. The Fox season record is 4 – 1. Tickets are just $8.00 each and kids 5 and under are free. Full concessions are available and the gates open at 6:00 pm. The Fox players, coaches, staff, and the team mascot “Trixy” look forward to seeing you there.

Join the Fox and Xtreme Ministries in their Flood Relief effort. Donations of food, clothes, and money will be accepted at the game. All donations will go to help the Clarksville Flood Victims.
