2Rivers Paint-Out artists paint Clarksville en plein air

Clarksville, TN – Artists from around Middle Tennessee took advantage of the lovely weather this past weekend as they painted scenes of Clarksville’s downtown and river district in the fourth annual 2Rivers Plein Air Paint-Out.
The paint-out culminated with an awards reception, exhibition and sales of work produced through the weekend at the Tree of Life Center.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation and the USO of Fort Campbell have joined forces to offer a free fair for veterans and their families on Saturday, March 5th from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Kleeman Community Center.

Clarksville’s Chocolate Affair a Sweet Indulgence

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, February 7th, Clarksville Parks and Recreation along with Planters Bank held the 3rd annual Chocolate Affair at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center located at 1190 Cumberland Drive.
Those in attendance had the opportunity to sample products from local vendors, restaurants and groceries. It was a festive event with everyone all smiles as they indulged in chocolate delights.

Clarksville, TN – It was my first visit to Chocolate Affair sponsored by Planters Bank and the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department. At a cost of a mere $15.00, it was the bargain of the year. Seventeen vendors gave every attendee at least one piece of superb chocolate—and what a variety of treats!
Magician Russ Nowack startled chocolate eaters with appearing and disappearing coins and other mind-boggling feats. D J Folley of Big Fish Entertainment kept the music lively as kids in the audience showed off their moves.
Tree of Life Center becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – The latest business to earn Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified and host a Green Ribbon Cutting is the Tree of Life Center.
Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville Chief of Staff Bill Harpel, standing in for Clarksville Mayor McMillan, and Chamber of Commerce Director Melinda Shepard were there to congratulate the owner and employees for their work.
