In 1939’s much-loved musical movie adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s classic novel, Kansas girl Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked by a tornado into the magical land of Oz, where they are joined by the Tin Man, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion on an adventure down the Yellow Brick Road to persuade the Wizard to help her find her way home.

Clarksville, TN – Local auditions for the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 2017-2018 season will be held Saturday, July 29th, 2017 beginning at 10:00am.
Auditions, which are for ages 18 and up, are by appointment only. Paying and non-paying roles are available, but actors must be able to attend daytime rehearsals and performances.
Productions slated for SEASON 35 at the Roxy Regional Theatre include The Wizard of Oz, 35mm: A Musical Exhibition, Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show, A Midsummer Night’s Dream: The Musical, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, A Raisin in the Sun, Fully Committed, Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, A Piece of My Heart, Marilyn/God, Annie Jr., Dames at Sea and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!
Children’s Auditions for “The Wizard of Oz” at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Saturday, July 8th

Clarksville, TN – Local youth will have the opportunity to work alongside professional actors when the Roxy Regional Theatre holds children’s auditions for Munchkins and other ensemble characters in “The Wizard of Oz” on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 at noon.
Children ages 8 and up should come prepared with “Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead” and be dressed to move in comfortable clothing and shoes, as the audition will also include a dance portion.

Clarksville, TN – “The Wizard of Oz” is the next movie in the “Planters Bank Presents…” film series. This movie will be shown this Sunday, November 6th, 2016 at the Roxy Regional Theatre at 2:00pm.
“The Wizard of Oz” is about Dorothy and her dog, Toto, as they are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage..
