Clarksville, TN – Funny, outrageous, emotionally affecting and occasionally angry … Eve Ensler’s wildly popular series of monologues about women and performed by women is back for the fifteenth year with the Roxy Regional Theatre’s presentation of “The Vagina Monologues”, January 13th – January 28th.
Returning favorites Emily Rourke (most recently seen as Molly in Harry Connick, Jr.’s The Happy Elf) and Leigh Martha Klinger (whom audiences may remember as Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show and, most recently, as Gilda in The Happy Elf) will take the stage of the Roxy’s theotherspace in readings of these monologues based on interviews Eve Ensler conducted with 200 women about their views on sex, relationships, and violence against women.
Exciting Lineup and Changes in Store for Roxy Regional Theatre’s SEASON 34

Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is gearing up to celebrate 34 years of presenting live theatre in the heart of Historic Downtown Clarksville on the corner of Franklin and First. The Roxy has long been regarded as “the cornerstone of downtown re-development,” and SEASON 34 will see new productions and exciting changes to the programming and structure of the theatre.
Ryan Bowie, longtime company member and former Director of Fundraising and Development, will take the reins as the organization’s new Executive Director.
APSU hosting V-Day events this February and March

Clarksville, TN – At 7:00pm on February 23rd and 24th, V-Day Austin Peay State University will present a two-night benefit reading of Eve Ensler’s award winning play “The Vagina Monologues,” at APSU’s Clement Auditorium. Tickets are $5.00 and may be purchased at the door.
V-Day, a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls, raises money and awareness through benefit productions of Ensler’s play and other artistic works.

In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can preview, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

Through grit, determination and support from likeminded individuals, the Roxy Regional Theatre is now poised to celebrate 33 years of providing an educational and artistic outlet for the Southeast.
