Customs House Museum & Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – Fred and Judy Landiss were introduced to Boehm Porcelain sculptures over 25 years ago. These delicately crafted figurines highlight the beautiful details found in wildlife and nature.

The Landiss’ realized after traveling how valuable and significant each piece is. Since then, Boehm sculptures have held a significant place in the Landiss’ hearts.

Customs House Museum & Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – Through January 12th, 2020, the Jostens Gallery of the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center is featuring the sculptural dresses of Belgin Yucelen.

The exhibition, titled Semblance, consists of garments portraying a past culture’s sophistication. Yucelen creates her dresses similar to the Turkish styles of the 17th through 19th centuries. She used traditional techniques and materials from Turkey and other parts of Asia to add embellishments to the metal dresses.

Celebrating a Tennessee Triumph: New monument to honor Clarksville’s suffragists

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – On a July afternoon in 1914, more than 75 people crowded into a house on Madison Street for a meeting of the newly established Clarksville Equal Suffrage League.

The women who joined the league that afternoon spent the next six years facing ridicule and threats of violence in the pursuit of their goal – earning women the right to vote.

Customs House Museum & Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is showcasing large oil paintings on canvas and paper by acclaimed artist Paul Harmon in the Museum’s Crouch Gallery. Harmon’s signature themes of reclining nudes and literary references are showcased in more than fifty works.

New forms such as a dappled horse and a vibrant fox dance throughout the collection in Harmon’s signature blue hue and bold use of contour lines.

Customs House Museum & Cultural Center Remembers D-Day with New Exhibition

Customs House Museum & Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – In recognition of the upcoming 75th anniversary, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center has brought out artifacts from its collection, supplemented by items from private collectors. The exhibition displayed in the museum’s Memory Lane gallery includes both American and German artifacts.

One of the largest amphibious military assaults in history was the D-day invasion.

Clarksville Artist Terri Jordan Exhibits New Work at Roxy Regional Theatre
