Clarksville Parks and Recreation says Pools, Splash Pads set to open May 25th

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has announced that it’s four public swimming pools and four splash pads will open on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 for the summer season.

Beachaven, Bel-Aire, New Providence and Swan Lake pools are open daily through August 4th. Admission is $5.00 daily, after 3:00pm admission is $3.00. Summer and year-round pool memberships are also available and can be purchased at the pools or online at www.cityofclarksville.com/parksrec

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – April is Adult Learn-to-Swim Awareness month and Clarksville Parks and Recreation is excited to offer four sessions of free swim lessons to any interested adult ages 18 years of age and older.

50 Flying Fish Land at Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s New Providence Pool

Howard's HopeClarksville, TN –  On Monday evening, March 6th, fifty Clarksville area children will receive free swim lessons through the Howard’s Hope Flying Fish program. Each child accepted into the program receives eight Level I swim lessons, along with instruction in aquatic safety rules, taught by Red Cross certified instructors. The lessons will be held twice weekly at the New Providence Pool located on Cunningham Lane.

“My organization and Clarksville Parks and Recreation share a determination to reduce juvenile drownings in Tennessee. We hope to accomplish this mission by providing the lifesaving skill of swimming to as many needy children as possible,” says Steve Reeves, president of Howard’s Hope.
