Austin Peay State University unveils new curated photography exhibition

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Department of Art and Design will unveil its newest exhibition, Topography: Exploring Dimensionality in the Jim and Nan Robertson Photography Collection this November.
Curated by Jewel Birdsong Scholarship and Presidential Scholarship recipient Sara Straussberger, the exhibition will be on display from November 10th-March 2017 in the Harned Building’s Mabel Larson Gallery.
APSU unveils new exhibition of artwork from permanent collection

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Department of Art and Design is pleased to announce a new exhibit of artwork from the University’s Permanent Art Collection, curated by Sara Straussberger, the 2015-16 Jewel Birdsong Art Collection Scholarship recipient.
Works in the exhibit, “A Conversation with Place and Being,” will range from a gestural figure drawing to a meticulous landscape etching.
Nashville art exhibit showcases APSU Department of Art and Design

Clarksville, TN – This October, the L Gallery in downtown Nashville will present works by Austin Peay State University art and designfaculty and students as part of a multi-discipline exhibit, titled “The One and the Many.”
The exhibit, curated by APSU student Sara Straussberger, will open with a reception from 6:00pm-9:00pm on October 3rd at the gallery, in space 72 of The Arcade in Nashville.
Clarksville Riverfest’s 2014 Tour d’Art Winners Awarded

Clarksville, TN – After hundreds of artists had their works of art on display at two locations in downtown Clarksville, then judged by artist Mary Addison Hackett, winners were awarded at Clarksville Riverfest’s Tour d’Art Receptions held Thursday, September 4th and Friday, September 5th, 2014.
Over $2,500 in prizes were awarded.
The competition included five categories: Photography & Digital Images, Sculpture, Painting, Mixed Media/Collage, and Drawing. Monetary awards are given to first through third place in each category (for each division) and a Best of Show Award.
