Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is pleased to announce Carolyn Pierce, City President, Regions Bank, as the Chairman of the 2013-2014 Board of Directors.
Steven Stroman has also been appointed as the Chair-Elect and will serve as the Chairperson for the 2014-2015 term.
Bowl for Kids’ Sake Benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Big Brothers Big Sisters is recruiting teams for their 31st annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake. The annual fundraiser has brought the Clarksville community together to raise funds for the non-profit’s mentoring programs for many years. This event is expected to raise $80,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville.
The event will kick off on Tuesday March 5th, 2013 at The Pinnacle with the Banker’s Challenge. Area banks have competed to raise the most funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters by raising money among the branches. [Read more]

Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, “9 to 5: The Musical” tells the story of three unlikely friends who, even in a man’s world, prove there’s nothing they can’t do! The musical is based on the 1980’s film, which starred Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin.
The musical stars Bailey Hanks as as the vivacious Doralee Rhodes; Amanda Morgan as Violet Newstead, the department supervisor; Lital Abrahams as housewife turned secretary Judy Bernly; Colin Ryan as everyone’s favorite “Sexist, Egotistical, Lying, Hypocritical Bigot” of a boss, Franklin Hart, Jr.; and Jill Twiss, as his administrative assistant and office spy Roz Keith. They are backed up by an incredible supporting cast.

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville together with U.S. Bank will be Jammin’ in Strawberry Alley once more this season on Friday, October 19th, 2012. Join us for this month’s free concert beginning at 7:00pm.
The concert features trio, “Ten Strings and Tom”, named for the instruments in their band- six string guitar, four string bass, and a Tom or one drum of a drum set. Members include Syd Hedrick (Guitar and Vocals), Skip Clark (Bass), and Tom Nadeau (Drums). The concert features four good ole boys from the backwoods of Clarksville, Tennessee. Don’t let that fool you, because they know how to rock! What began as a high school pastime turned into something even they weren’t expecting. Their band, Backroad Brigade, is like no other bands of their generation. Instead of power pop or death metal, they keep the sound of good, old-fashioned rock and roll alive.

Jammin’ in the Alley rocked Friday night with The Rooted Wings

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Department and Recreation held there second Jammin’ in the Alley concert of the year last night at Strawberry Alley. The concert showcased the talents of Rooted Wings, a musical duo comprised of John Winters and Samantha Hawkins.
After a few open mic night collaborations when Winters and Hawkins knew that they wanted to form a cohesive act together, and have combined their unique styles folding the blues, jazz, and a variety of popular music together into a fresh and rhythmic sound.
