CTS to provide special holiday services

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Transit System (CTS) will be offering several free services to help residents cope with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
On Tuesday, December 24th, 2019, CTS is offering free transportation from the Downtown Transit Center to the Annual Warm Souls Christmas Celebration at the APSU Morgan University Center.
APSU welcomes Freshmen to Campus this week

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) officials will welcome more than 1,000 freshmen to campus residence halls this week, and most the new students will arrive from 8:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday, August 22nd, 2019.
Freshman Move-in Day also launches the University’s freshman orientation weekend, which we like to call APEX, short for Austin Peay Experience.
Manna Café Ministries Mobile Pantry set for April 28th

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, April 28th, 2018 the Manna Café Ministries will conduct a Mobile Pantry food giveaway in partnership with Radical Mission. The Mobile Pantry will be at First Church of the Nazarene at 150 Richview Road, Clarksville.
This event will begin at 10:00am. Anyone in the community needing assistance with groceries is welcome. One food box per household. A valid ID must be presented.
Warm Souls was held at APSU’s Morgan Center Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Radical Mission hosted its 10th Annual Warm Souls at APSU’s Morgan Center Saturday, with more than 1,000 people showing up for a hot Christmas meal, and much more.
Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, a longtime supporter of the program, stood at the doorway and greeted guests as they entered the 2nd floor ballroom.
Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman provided a wonderful Christmas to 15 needy families

Clarksville, TN – A few weeks before Christmas; on a cold December morning, a crowd gathered at the Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman office on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. 15 Families had been selected to receive a wonderful Christmas gift. One child from each family would soon be boarding the Coldwell Banker Clarksville Olde Town Trolley to shop for Christmas presents for their families.
“It’s great,” said Mark Holleman. “I think it’s fantastic. And like I said I think the agents will receive as much out of taking these kids shopping, as the kids will get out of shopping for their families.” The realtors mission was to give back to the community by ensuring that these kids and their families had a wonderful Christmas.

Clarksville, TN – Random Acts of Kindness have received national media attention this year and I am grateful to the many citizens of our country for this. I want to take this opportunity to recognize and salute the citizens of Clarksville & Montgomery County for their Random Acts of Kindness and caring spirit during this Christmas Season.

Magic at the Museum returns December 17th

Clarksville, TN – Magic at the Museum returns just in time for Christmas to the Customs House Museum. Sponsored by Better Homes and Garden Real Estate, children of all ages will be entertained with balloon tricks, face painting and an incredible stage show featuring magician Russ Nowack.
The fun begins at 2:00pm when the Customs House opens its doors for a free tour of the museum, while children get their faces painted and watch balloon artists shape their favorite balloon character.

F&M Bank Asks Facebook Fans to Vote For Charity Recipients of $2,000

To help determine the recipients of $2,000 in charitable donations, F&M Bank is calling on its Facebook fans. During the month of March, all current and new F&M fans will be given the opportunity to vote for one of eight non-profit organizations listed on the bank’s Facebook page. The two charities receiving the most votes will each be given $1,000. Charity receiving the most Facebook fan votes will be announced April 1.
F&M has offices in eight Middle Tennessee counties: Montgomery, Stewart, Robertson, Sumner, Wilson, Rutherford, Williamson and Putnam. Bank employees from each county nominated local charities from their market area. One charity per F&M market was selected. Those charities now in the running for two F&M $1,000 donations, are:
- Radical Mission of Montgomery County
- Good Samaritan, Inc. of Stewart County
- GreenRidge Toys for Tots in Robertson County
- The Humane Society of Sumner County
- United Way of Wilson County
- Boys and Girls Club of Rutherford County
- STARS (Students Taking A Right Stand) of Williamson County
- Child Advocacy Center of the Upper Cumberland in Putnam County
