Montgomery County, TN – Progressive Directions Incorporated (PDI) is the latest Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified organization.
Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville Chief of Administration Charlie Gentry, Chamber President Melinda Shepard, Bi-County Director David Graham, Nyrstar Plant Manager/CMCGCP Steering Committee Member Steve James and County HR Director/ CMCGCP Steering Committee Member Tim Swaw were congratulated PDI for their efforts at their green ribbon cutting.

Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday, September 7th, there will be a multi-employer job fair held at the Clarksville-Montgomery Public Library from 10:00am until 2:00pm.
The Library is partnering with Goodwill Career Solutions for a multi-employer job fair. There will be over 20 employers with 700+ openings. Bring your resume, photo ID and Social Security Card or birth certificate. Please dress for success and be ready to interview.

CMCSS joined four other districts in Georgia, California, South Carolina and Louisiana in being honored for “taking bold and innovative steps to improve the lives of their students and their communities.”

Clarksville, TN – Service learning in the classrooms is gaining acceptance in higher education as a way for students to help the community using the knowledge learned. One class is doing just that this semester.
For 30 minutes every Friday in the Dunn Center, students in the adaptive physical education course teach basic sports and fitness skills such as throwing and catching to clients of varying disabilities in the Progressive Directions Inc. program, which provides mental retardation services in Montgomery and Stewart counties.
