Planters Bank’s Season of Giving to Support 12 Area Non-Profits

Clarksville, TN – Planters Bank announces today the kickoff of its annual Season of Giving. 12 area organizations throughout Western Kentucky and Tennessee will be supported through the community giving campaign. The campaign kicks off today and goes through the end of December.
Entering its eighth year, the Planters Bank Season of Giving is a community tradition that has a goal of bringing awareness to local non-profit organizations’ missions at the same time as fundraising for the organizations. This year, the focus is on giving back to the children in our communities.
“We have so many deserving organizations in our communities that help support children’s needs. It’s important for us to bolster the efforts of these non-profits who shape the futures of our communities,” says Planters Bank CEO Elizabeth McCoy.
Tennessee Honors Clarksville’s Roxy Regional Theatre, Charlie Cushman with “Tennessee Music Pathways” Markers

Clarksville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development and Visit Clarksville honored the Roxy Regional Theatre and Grammy award winning banjoist Charlie Cushman in his hometown with the unveiling of “Tennessee Music Pathways” markers.
Local and state leaders, Roxy supporters and the Cushman family gathered in two ceremonies to mark the special commemorations on Thursday, November 19th, 2020.

Customs House Museum and Cultural Center Welcomes a New Era with the Grand Illumination

Clarksville, TN – One of the state’s most photographed structures, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center in Downtown Clarksville, will soon be as photogenic after dark as it has been in the daytime.
The Museum is adding a new feature to the historic 1898 Post Office and Customs House building that proudly graces the corner of South Second Street and Commerce Street.

Two new, highly anticipated exhibitions are now up for the public to visit: The Power of Women: Celebrating the Suffrage Movement and Practice Makes Perfect: Twenty Years of the Cumberland Furniture Guild.
This month the country will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage, and Clarksville has plenty of history to share on the subject.

Clarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre is serving up a host of family-friendly favorites in March with the return of the Planters Bank Presents… Film Series, beginning with Disney’s beloved animated classic “Cinderella” on Sunday, March 1st, 2020 at 2:00pm.
Tickets for the first film in the series are now available at the Roxy Regional Theatre during regular box office hours (9:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday, and one hour prior to show times).
Planters Bank Donates over $27,000 to Non-Profit Organizations

Hopkinsville, KY – During the Planters Bank Season of Giving, 12 non-profit organizations were supported throughout Western Kentucky and Tennessee. The Planters Bank social media and in-branch giving campaign resulted in 12 local non-profit agencies receiving a total of $27,356.19.

Candlelight Ball auction to raise money for APSU scholarships

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Candlelight Ball is set for Saturday, March 14th, 2020.
Charlie Daniels, the Country Music Hall of Famer known for “sawing on a fiddle and playing it hot,” helped reinvigorate that 400-year-old instrument with his 1979 hit, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”
