Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Movies in the Park to be held twice in September

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will host two Movies in the Park presented by Kyrstin Frate with Keller Williams during September. The two events are part of the two-week Riverfest festivities scheduled for September 1st-12th, 2020.
Dreamworks’ “Trolls World Tour” will be shown on Saturday, September 5th and Disney Pixar’s “Onward” on Friday, September 11th. Both events will be held at the Liberty Park Athletic Field, and activities will begin at 5:00pm, followed by the movie at sunset, which is around 7:00pm.

A cocky hot rod named Lightning McQueen gets stuck in a small town en route to a big race, and learns a lesson in humility. With the help of the town’s quirky car population, he learns that sometimes life is more about the voyage than the outcome of the race.

Grease is a 1978 American musical romantic comedy film based on Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey’s musical of the same name. The film depicts the life of Rydell High School students Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson in the late 1950s. Directed by Randal Kleiser and written by Bronte Woodard,[2] the film stars John Travolta as Danny, Olivia Newton-John as Sandy and Stockard Channing as Betty Rizzo.

“A League of Their Own” is about two sisters (Geena Davis and Lori Petty) joining the first female professional baseball league and struggle to help it succeed amidst their own growing rivalry.
