Austin Peay State University’s The New Gallery presents “Patrick Vincent: Vanishing Islands”

Clarksville, TN – This January, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) The New Gallery, with support from the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the APSU Department of Art + Design, will continue its exciting 2018-19 exhibition season with Patrick Vincent: Vanishing Islands.
The exhibit opens Monday, January 14th and runs through February 8th. Vincent will give a public lecture on his work at 6:00pm on February 5th in the APSU Art + Design Building’s Heydel Hall.
New Gallery at Austin Peay State University presents Faculty Triennial exhibition

Clarksville, TN – Next month, Austin Peay State University’s The New Gallery, with support from the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the APSU Department of Art + Design, will present the Faculty Triennial, an exhibition celebrating the artwork of current Art + Design faculty.
This year has brought many celebrations to the Department of Art + Design. In August, the new Art + Design building opened its doors to students with new studio classrooms and new exhibition spaces.
Austin Peay State University assistant professor Vincent completes residency program at Dublin’s Black Church Print Studio

Clarksville, TN – As the final stages of construction on Austin Peay State University’s new Art and Design Building were completed this summer, and with his campus studio unavailable, assistant professor Patrick Vincent had to look elsewhere to apply his printmaking.
“A lot of other disciplines of art can be done with less equipment, but printmaking requires a lot of machinery — some of it very old — and I didn’t have a space this summer, so I guess I had to fly to another country just to get a studio,” Vincent joked.
