APSU part of state’s inaugural Food Waste Initiative

Austin Peay State University - APSUNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) announced the first group of participants in Get Food Smart TN – a statewide initiative aimed at reducing food waste.

The inaugural class, which includes Austin Peay State University, was recognized on April 20th, 2018 at an event hosted by former TDEC Commissioner Bob Martineau and TDEC Assistant Commissioner Dr. Kendra Abkowitz Brooks at the William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower in Nashville.

APSU graduates, professors to exhibit work at Wizard World Comic Con Nashville

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – This year’s Wizard World Comic Con Nashville will have a distinct Austin Peay State University vibe, as a pair of creations by APSU professors and graduates will be on display for the thousands of fans expected to file through the Music City Center, located in the heart of downtown Nashville.

On Saturday, September 26th at 5:30pm, APSU assistant professor of history, Dr. Antonio Thompson, and APSU assistant professor of biology, Dr. Amy Thompson, will present a panel discussion on their new book, titled “…But If a Zombie Apocalypse Did Occur: Essays on Medical, Military, Governmental, Ethical, Economic and Other Implications.”
