New Austin Peay State University Communication Department program focuses on student success

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Department of Communication launched its Living Learning Community program, earlier this fall, to build support and guidance for freshman communication majors.
The idea behind the program is to provide a transitional atmosphere for students and prepare a path for their next four years.

Clarksville, TN – The Office of Student Affairs at Austin Peay State University honored leadership and service by individual students, student organizations, faculty and staff at its annual Student Organization and Leader Awards Program on April 16th.

APSU recognized Outstanding Faculty at Annual Academic Honors and Awards Ceremony

Clarksville, TN – On April 15th, Austin Peay State University recognized several outstanding faculty members during the annual Academic Honors and Awards Ceremony in the Mabry Concert Hall.
During an emotional presentation, the University’s top faculty honor, the APSU National Alumni Association Distinguished Professor Award, was presented posthumously to John Moseley, associate professor of communication. Moseley passed away on February 9th, after an 18-year career as an active faculty member at APSU. [Read more]
APSU staff members honored for continuous service, retirement or education

Clarksville, TN – Several employees at Austin Peay State University were recognized Friday, July 22nd for their continuous years of service. A reception was held in the Morgan University Center ballroom to honor those employees.
Donna Liverett, administrative assistant in the APSU Department of Chemistry, was honored for her 40 years of service to APSU.
Employees with 25 years are Clifford Frederick, Cheryl Garrett, David Gleckler, Denise Hemingway, Michele Jones, Betty Leimer and Julia McGee.
