Clarksville Greenway now has a New Parking Lot

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has opened a new parking lot at the Pollard Road Trailhead of the Clarksville Greenway.

The popularity of the Clarksville Greenway has grown rapidly over the years, and the Pollard Road Trailhead is the most used access point.

The new lot will help alleviate the parking problems and will help visitors avoid parking alongside Pollard Road.

Clarksville Greenway popularity creating Parking Problems

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – With warm weather increasing use of the Clarksville Greenway, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is asking visitors to respect parking guidelines while enjoying the outdoors.

Parking at Pollard Road Trailhead is limited and parking on the roadway is not permitted. Vehicles parked on the roadway obstruct traffic and could delay emergency or medical personnel response time and prevent nearby property owners from moving farm equipment.

Construction work scheduled at the Clarksville Greenway

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will install a safety barrier rail on a section of the Clarksville Greenway from Mary’s Oak trailhead to Heritage Park.

Construction is scheduled to occur between February 15th and March 11th and at times, this section of trail will be closed.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation receives Four Star Award for Heritage Park Greenway Connection

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department received a Four Star Award from the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association (TRPA) at this year’s state convention held in Kingsport, Tennessee.

The award was given in recognition of the Heritage Park Greenway Connection.
