Austin Peay State University Department of Music hosts 10th Holiday Dinner December 6th-7th

Clarksville, TN – When Austin Peay State University (APSU) associate professor of music Dr. Korre Foster first arrived on campus in 2009, he had an idea for a holiday event that showcased the University’s choral program.
Instead of a simple concert, Foster envisioned having his student singers perform while attendees enjoyed a formal, sit-down dinner.

Katy Olita of Batson Nolan Approved as Mediator

Clarksville, TN – Batson Nolan Law Firm attorney Katy Olita has been approved as a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 listed mediator in general civil cases by the Tennessee Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission (ADRC). Mediation is an informal process by which parties have the opportunity to resolve a dispute by agreement.
The requirements to be listed by the ADRC as a Rule 31 Mediator in general civil cases include, being a person of good moral character and certifying in writing an intention to comply with the conditions and obligations imposed by Rule 31; having a graduate degree plus four years of full-time practical work experience; and completing 40 hours of general mediation training.
2nd Annual Community Messiah Sing to be December 17th

Clarksville, TN – Area vocalists are invited to sing in a community choir presentation of the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah at Madison Street United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 17th, 2017 at 7:00pm.

Winners of the 2017 Rivers and Spires’ Quilts of the Cumberland Announced

Clarksville, TN – On April 20th-22nd, 2017, the Rivers and Spires Festival held their annual Quilts of the Cumberland Quilt show at the Madison Street United Methodist Church. There was 42 quilts that ranged from traditional quilts to one of a kind art quilts.
This event showed how talented quilters in the area are. The quilts on display were gorgeous.
The quilt show was free and open to the public.
Rivers and Spires Festival begins this afternoon

Clarksville, TN – The 15th annual Rivers and Spires Festival kicks off tonight, Thursday, April 20th, in Downtown Clarksville Tennessee from 5:00pm until 10:00pm. Chase & Ovation will headline the Public Square Stage tonight performing the music of Prince.
Rivers and Spires is an event for the whole family featuring children’s activities, arts vendors, a car show, military exhibits, shopping and so much more. Those that attend will have five stages of live entertainment with over 100 performers to enjoy during the three day event.
Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires Quilts of the Cumberland exhibit starts tonight

Clarksville, TN – Rivers and Spires Festival’s award winning Quilts of the Cumberland event begins Thursday, April 20th at the Madison Street United Methodist Church at 5:00pm. There will be quilts of different shapes and sizes on display to the public.
The quilts will be on display all three days of Rivers and Spires, April 20th through the April 22nd. This exhibit gives people the chance to view a variety of quilts from traditional to one of a kind art quilts by local artisans.
