Clarksville, TN – Faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University recently announced a number of publications, conferences and credentials as part of their professional and scholarly activities.
Dr. Larry Hoehn, professor emeritus in mathematics, learned recently that two manuscripts he co-authored were accepted for publication. “A 5-Circle Incidence Theorem” was accepted for the Mathematics Magazine published by the Mathematical Association of America. “Zwei Kreistheoreme für affin–metrische Ebenen” was accepted for publication in German in the Mitteilungen der Mathematischen Gesellschaft publication. United States Colored Troops Living History Association Hosts Annual Conference in Clarksville October 19th-21st

Clarksville, TN – The United States Colored Troops Living History Association’s annual national meeting will be October 19th-21st in Clarksville, TN at Riverview Inn, 50 College Street.
The United States Colored Troops Living History Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote and accurately interpret the history of the United States Colored Troops of the American Civil War and those that supported their efforts to abolish slavery and preserve the Union and to educate the public and promote research of the history and legacy of those who served in the Civil War. WJZM Radio transfers Ownership

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s original radio station, WJZM1400am, has transferred ownership. In a joint announcement this week, previous owner, Hank Bonecutter, said he had agreed to sell the corporation to local businessmen David Loos Jr, Greg Walker, and Mike Parchman. The sale became official on Tuesday.
“My wife and I are extremely excited about the sale,” said Bonecutter. “We have put a lot of hard work into WJZM, and this opportunity only comes along once in a lifetime to go out on your terms. I have dedicated my broadcasting career to the Clarksville-Fort Campbell community, bringing news, sports and current events to the public as reliable and credible as I can be. I think my legacy will be left on WJZM forever. I’m very excited, and proud of what I’ve accomplished.” [Read more]
