F&M Tops Montgomery and Stewart County Market Share Rankings Again

F&M BankClarksville, TN – During a 12-month period when Montgomery County’s total bank deposits jumped by $175.8 million, F&M Bank remained in the top position among FDIC-insured banks with a 19.01% market share.  It is the 14th consecutive year that F&M has maintained its market-leading ranking.

The fact that seven of the 11 Montgomery County banks have 10% or more of deposit market share underscores the extraordinary competitiveness within the market.

The updated market share reports – recently posted on the FDIC website – are based on federally insured deposits of banks and thrifts through June 30th, 2017.

Heritage Bank parent company HopFed Bancorp, Inc. to acquire Tennessee-Based Sumner Bank & Trust

HopFed Bancorp, IncHopkinsville, KY – HopFed Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: HFBC) (“HopFed”), the parent company of Heritage Bank in Hopkinsville, Kentucky (“Heritage”), today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sumner Bank & Trust (OTC Pink: SBKT), based in Gallatin, Tennessee (“Sumner”).

HopFed has agreed to pay approximately $14.3 million in cash, or $10.04 per share, to purchase all of the common stock and common stock equivalents of Sumner, including common stock that would be issued upon the conversion of Sumner’s convertible preferred stock upon a change of control (subject to adjustments). Week-delayed 17th annual Governors Bass tourney set to cast off Sunday

APSU Governors Bass TournamentClarksville, TN – After a week’s delay, the 17th Annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament will cast off Sunday at Kentucky Lake, with boat launching from Paris Landing, Tenneesse, State Park.

The tourney originally scheduled for May 14th, was postponed as a result of extremely high waters and flooding resulting from recent rains.

For the first time in tourney history last year’s tourney was delay—two weeks—for similar water/rain-related reasons. The tourney still drew 269 boats.

17th annual Governors Bass Tournament has been postponed until May 22nd

APSU Governors Bass TournamentClarksville, TN – The 17th Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament has been postponed until Sunday, May 22nd as a result of extremely high waters and flooding resulting from recent rains.

As a result, it means after the bass tourney successfully dodge storms and weather-related conditions for the first 15 years of its existence, the last two tournaments have been postponed. Last season’s torrential downpours and flooding caused that tourney to be postponed to Sunday, May 23rd. Last year’s tourney, despite the delay, still drew 269 boats.

APSU Governors Bass TournamentClarksville, TN – The 17th annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament is just two weeks away.

This year’s version will be held Saturday, May 14th, at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing, Tennessee, State Park. Last season’s tourney was postponed from May 8th to May 23rd, due to flood conditions that surrounded the area. Despite the two-week delay, the tourney still drew 269 boats.

Despite recent heavy rains, this year’s tourney looks promising. APSU again is hopeful of approaching the 300-boat total—the record of 333 was set in 2009.
