Clarkville’s Amazing Race to Benefit the LEAP Organization
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Association of Realtors® will host Clarksville’s Amazing Race, benefitting the LEAP Organization, on July 8th, 2017.
Clarksville’s Amazing Race involves teams of two racing against other teams in a citywide scavenger hunt as they perform tasks, solve puzzles, answer trivia questions and complete surprise challenges.
Leap Organization holds Annual Dining with the Stars Gala

Clarksville, TN – The 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth and business incubation program, Leap Organization hosted its annual Dining with the Stars Gala at the Riverview Inn in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, on Saturday, March 4th, 2017.
Dining with the Stars is the annual tribute where high school seniors in the Clarksville Montgomery county community are awarded $1000 and $500.00 scholarships based on their essay submission.
Hand Family Companies sustained the gala with their $2500 donation that helped support LEAPs night of student stars shining bright.
LEAP Annual Scholarship Essay Contest

Clarksville, TN – The LEAP Annual 7 Points Scholarship Essay Contest is open to Clarksville Montgomery County School System and Fort Campbell High School seniors. Each year, the theme highlights one of our 7 principles of Leadership, Enlightenment, Achievement, Perseverance, Outreach, Responsibility, and Growth.
The LEAP Organization recognizes the importance of encouraging youth to be productive and responsible citizens, and is honored to provide resources to assist youth in their quest to pursue higher learning opportunities.
LEAP Youth to hold Car Wash and Bake Sale Friday, July 29th

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, July 29nd, LEAP Youth held a Car Wash and Bake Sale fundraiserfrom from 11:00am until 2:00pm. The event was help behind LEAP Plaza located at 1860 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville.
The money raised will be used to take the young adults on a trip to Beech Bend Park.
“We do a lot of outings with the kids to teach them that nothing is free in the world. So we had them put together a couple of fundraisers to help pay for the trips they will be going on throughout the year,” said Malcolm Luster, LEAP Counselor.

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, July 22nd, LEAP Youth held a Car Wash and Bake Sale fundraiser from 11:00am until 2:00pm. The event was help behind LEAP Plaza located at 1860 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville.
A car wash was $5.00 and the bake sale goodies ranged from $0.50 to $2.00.

Clarksville Youth Learn About Miami & Enjoy The Bahamas

Clarksville, TN – Miami and the Bahamas were the destination for the LEAP Organization’s 6th Annual Educational Excursion.
Children from Clarksville along with chaperones and community members embarked on a five-day journey to Miami to educate LEAP youth by exposing them to other cities, cultural differences and historical landmarks.
Participants visited the Holocaust Memorial, Jewish Museum, History of Miami Museum, and the Miccosukee Indian Village where they experienced an airboat ride through the everglades followed by an alligator show.

UPS Delivers Workforce Development Programming to LEAP Students

Nashville, TN – UPS collaborates with the LEAP Organization to educate students on job seeking strategies, best practices to retain employment and receive promotions, and the benefits associated with employment opportunities with UPS.
The goal of LEAP’s Career Readiness Program is to provide youth ages 16 to 24 with critical job skills to prepare them for entry into the workforce. Members of UPS Human Resources Department educated the students on the UPS mission and history then guided them on a tour on their warehouse facility to explain the various positions within the company.

Beachaven Winery hosts Jazz on the Lawn Benefit for LEAP

Clarksville, TN – On Sunday, August 16th Beachaven Winery concert series ‘Jazz on the Lawn’ featured music by the Back Road Brigade sponsored by the Joe Padula Show on 1400 WJZM to benefit the LEAP Organization.
”I was impressed with the attendance for our first event of this magnitude. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and it provided an opportunity for board members to interact with staff and volunteers” commented County Commissioner Jason Hodges who serves on the LEAP Board and spearheaded the event.
