Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement Opens June 6th

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, June 6th, Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement, a 40-acre living-history farm in rural Montgomery County, Tennessee, will open to the public for its 2020 season.
The settlement will be open Saturdays from 11:00am–4:00pm and Sundays 1:00pm–4:00pm through October.
Visit Clarksville announces Tennessee East-West All-Star Classic to be held in Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Tennessee’s top 88 senior football players will once again compete in Clarksville for the Tennessee East-West All-Star Classic, scheduled to be played at Austin Peay State University on Friday, December 13th, 2019.
“We’re very excited for the players and coaches who have accepted an invitation to be a part of Tennessee’s premier all-star event,” stated Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association (TACA) Executive Director Bill Marbet.
TACA Commits to Hold Tennessee East-West All-Star Classic in Clarksville for 4 Years

Clarksville, TN – Officials with the Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association (T.A.C.A) and Visit Clarksville have signed a new four-year contract to stage the annual Tennessee East-West All-Star Classic at Fortera Stadium on the campus of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. The game has been played at the home of the Governors for the past two years, and the new contract solidifies the presence of the contest in Clarksville through the 2023 season.

Montgomery County Ranks Second-Highest of all Tennessee Counties for Tourism Growth

Visitor Spending in Montgomery County Tops $244.7 Million in 2018
Clarksville, TN – Montgomery County saw the second-highest growth rate in tourism spending of all 95 Tennessee counties during 2018. Direct travel spending increased 9.12% over 2017, for a record-high of $244.7 million.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and Department of Tourist Development Commissioner Mark Ezell announced Tuesday that the state hit a record-high $22 billion in domestic and international travel spending, up 6% from 2017.

Clarksville, TN – The Visit Clarksville board of directors announces that Tom Kane has been named chairman for the 2018-19 year, which began July 1st, 2018.
Kane is president and CEO or Fortera Credit Union, a position he has held for six years. Kane is originally from Wisconsin, but has worked in financial services in numerous locations across the country for 25 years. He also served as chairman of the Aspire Clarksville Foundation in 2016-17.
Team of Tuck-Boyd-Cunningham-Campbell run away with Friday’s flight of 25th Annual Governors Golf Classic

Clarksville, TN – The team of Joey Tuck, Chase Boyd, Heath Cunningham and Bret Campbell ran away with Friday’s afternoon flight of the 25th Annual Governors Golf Classic, played at Swan Lake Golf Course.
The winning quartet shot a scramble score of 48 to ease past the second-place team of Kyle Luther-Ben Moore- Jarrod Duncan -Robbie Wedemeyer (51), followed by the team of Brandon Rippy-Brad Daniel-Scott Combs-Joe Henry (52) . [Read more]
