2018 Austin Peay State University Homecoming King and Queen Crowned

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University announced the 2018 APSU Homecoming Court and crowned Homecoming King and Queen during halftime at the APSU Governors football game against Tennessee Tech at Fortera Stadium this past Saturday, October 27th.
LaQuandra McGhee a senior Social Work major was crowned Homecoming Queen. McGhee from Antioch Tennessee was sponsored by Kappa Alpha Psi, NPHC, SODA.
Business Accounting major Jake Bumpus from Ashland City Tennessee crowned Homecoming King. Bumpus was sponsored by Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity.

Clarksville, TN – This summer, the North American Interfraternity Conference hosted its 26th Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) in Bloomington, Indiana, and 17 Austin Peay State University students received scholarships to attend the event, which is the largest attendance for this leadership development institute in the University’s history.
Top leaders from fraternity and sorority communities across North America were invited to attend one of the 15 sessions of UIFI this summer. [Read more]
APSU’s KA Order receives NIC Chapter Award of Distinction

Clarksville, TN – In March 2015, the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) announced that 10 fraternity chapters from across North America will be recognized on April 19th, 2015, at the Gold Medal Banquet during the NIC Annual Meeting in Kansas City, Missouri.
Kappa Alpha Order, Zeta Tau Chapter, at Austin Peay State University will be one of those chapters recognized for their successes. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – Faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University recently announced a number of publications, conferences and credentials as part of their professional and scholarly activities.
Chris Burawa, director of the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, has had several professional developments. He translated from Icelandic a short story by Óskar Magnússon, “Dr. Amplatz,” which will be published in Best European Fiction 2014 by Dalkey Archive Press. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The Office of Student Affairs at Austin Peay State University honored leadership and service by individual students, student organizations, faculty and staff at its Student Organization and Leader Awards Program on April 11th.
