Top Teams earn bragging rights and Cash Prizes
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and SERVPRO of Montgomery County Fire & Water Cleanup & Restoration Company hosted Clarksville’s first-ever BBQ Bash on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at Liberty Park.
The BBQ Bash included a full barbecue competition and cornhole tournament.
Les Kerr and The Bayou Band to perform at Downtown Clarksville Barbecue Festival

Les Kerr & The Bayou Band are scheduled to perform at Porkin’ in the Park sponsored by Downtown Kiwanis Club Friday, July 9th, 2010, at 8:00pm. There is no admission fee for the concert. The weekend-long festival is a Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) sanctioned event that will feature music, a kid’s zone and food.
Originally from the Gulf Coast, Kerr refers to his eclectic musical style as “Hillbilly Blues Caribbean Rock & Roll” because of the variety found in his music. The upbeat style is a mix of blues, bluegrass, New Orleans and Gulf Coast influences. He has recorded six CDs, including his current album, New Orleans Set.
3rd Annual Porkin’ in the Park, July 9th and 10th

The Kiwanis Club of Clarksville presents the 3nd annual Porkin’ in the Park. The event will be held down on Strawberry Alley July 9th and 10th. There will be food, drinks, live music and so much more. And let’s not forget the Barbeque. Admission is FREE to the public for both days.
Porkin’ in the Park is a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned state championship barbeque cook-off hosted by Kiwanis Club of Clarksville. BBQ teams from around the region will be there competing for a Grand Champion prize of $1000. Prizes are also awarded to the top ten entries in each category – Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork and Brisket. Porkin’ in the Park was all about the art and the taste of barbecue Saturday, with regional competitors seeking the top spot in the Kansas City Barbecue Society’s “Great American BBQ Tour.” The mix of great music, great cooking, and great food kept visitors happy and well fed. [Read more]
