Renovation work begins on APSU’s new College Street bookstore

Clarksville, TN – Earlier this month, Fellowship Construction Inc. began renovation work at the corner of College and Fourth streets to convert a former Ford car dealership into the Austin Peay State University (APSU) new campus bookstore.
SpiritFest offers Fun, Family-Friendly Activities before Christmas Parade

Clarksville, TN – The Fifth Annual SpiritFest – a holiday event from 2:00pm – 5:00pm on Saturday, December 7th – will offer a bounty of free activities, including visits with Santa Claus, rides on the Express Bus, four kids’ inflatables, live music on the new Downtown Commons stage, ice skating, art and gift markets, food trucks and a live nativity with animals.
APSU Foundation elects new officers at spring 2019 dinner

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Foundation elected three new officers to serve on its board during the spring dinner the foundation hosted for its members at the University’s Morgan University Center . Chairman Tommy Bates, Vice Chair Barry Kulback (’79) and Secretary Casey Jenkins were selected to lead the organization.
Clarksville Area Chamber Announces Charlie Koon as New Chairman

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces its 2017-18 Board of Directors.
Serving as chairman for a one-year term beginning July 1st, is Charlie Koon, Director of Workforce & Economic Development at Workforce Essentials. Koon was named the 2015 Middle Tennessee Workforce Services Employee of the Year by the Tennessee Department of Labor and in 2008 he was named Clarksville’s “Citizen of the Year.”

Jenkins and Wynne Achieves Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification

There to congratulate Don Jenkins, Casey Jenkins and their dedicated staff were Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Chamber of Commerce Director Melinda Shepard, and CMC Green Certification Steering Committee Members Daryl Pater and Steve James.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation kicked off Warrior Week with Backroad Brigade, Little Texas Concert Friday night

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s Warrior Week started Friday night, May 8th, with a free concert at Liberty Park. The event was in honor of all military personnel and their families.
There was plenty of food and drink like hotdogs, Mexican food, sodas and lemonade for purchase.
Aspire Clarksville Foundation announces New Board of Directors

Clarksville, TN – The Aspire Clarksville Foundation is pleased to announce their Board of Directors for the 2014-15 term.
At the June 26th Aspire Board Meeting, it was voted and approved that Katie Gambill, and Lloyd Matson, Premier Medical Group, will serve alongside Chairman Sammy Stuard, F&M Bank, Tommy Bates, Legends Bank, and Economic Development Council Chairman Don Jenkins, Jenkins & Wynne Ford Lincoln Honda on the FY15 Aspire Board of Directors.
Richview Middle School Students to Compete in National History Day Competition

Clarksville, TN – All Eighth grade PASS (gifted program) students in Montgomery County competed in the district level of the National History Day Contest on February 22nd, 2012.
Students who placed at the district level moved on to compete at the state level on April 22nd, 2012 in Nashville Tennessee.
