Imagination Library’s Grown-Up Spelling Bee tickets are on sale now

Clarksville, TN – Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Montgomery County will host its Grown-Up Spelling Bee fundraiser on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the Customs House Museum, located at 200 South 2nd Street in Clarksville.
The event is presented by Two Rivers Electric. Proceeds from the event will support early childhood literacy in Clarksville-Mongomery County by providing free books to children under five.
During this adults-only event, guests can watch teams of grown-ups compete to be the top spellers in Montgomery County! Bee prepared for a night of laughs when bribes are made as the words get more and more difficult.

Imagination Library of Montgomery County to hold live Facebook Storytime with Clarksville First Lady Cynthia Pitts

Clarksville, TN – Imagination Library of Montgomery County will host a free Facebook Live Storytime session Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at 6:00pm on the organization’s Facebook page.
The featured reader for the inaugural Storytime is Cynthia Pitts, First Lady of Clarksville. Mrs. Pitts will read Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors aloud during this special session. Children of all ages and parents are encouraged to log on and enjoy the story together. This story will only be available during the original live recording, so you won’t want to miss it!
Clarksville’s First Lady Cynthia Pitts will serve as the guest reader for the inaugural Storytime session with Imagination Library of Montgomery County.

Clarksville, TN – As the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic continues to surge and affect many local and fundamental organizations, The Imagination Library of Montgomery County is unfortunately one of those facing funding shortages.
With the present difficulties CDE Lightband and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) have agreed to match up to $15,000 in donations as the Community Care Fund campaign is launched once again.

Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale begins Thursday, October 29th

Book Sale Continues Through Halloween
Clarksville, TN – The Friends of the Library Fall Book sale will open Thursday the 29th at 4:00pm with the Friends-only preview until 7:00 pm that evening. Anyone may join the Friends at the door for as little as $5.00.
Thousands of used books from fiction to a myriad of non-fiction subjects to children’s books will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the book sale go to support the public library. The sale continues for the general public on Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and on Saturday (Halloween) from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Sunrise Rotary Club gives $1,000 donation to Montgomery County Imagination Library

Clarksville, TN – The Sunrise Rotary Club has given a $1,000 donation to the Imagination Library of Montgomery County in support of this important early literacy program.
Sunrise Rotary has been a staunch supporter of Imagination Library since its inception in Montgomery County in 2006 and has given well over $30,000 to IL through the years.
