Clarksville, TN – As the final remnants of last week’s snow and ice storm melt away along with temperatures rising it is a reminder the 20th annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament is just around the corner.
This year’s edition will be held Saturday, May 10th, at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing, Tennessee, State Park. Last season’s tourney drew 282 boats—14 more than in 2012, despite entrants being forced to utilize the back entrance because of flooding.

This year’s competition will be held at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing State Park in Buchanan Tennessee. Last season’s tourney drew more than 250 boats.

Spring Fling at Rotary Park to be held April 6th

Clarksville, TN – Friends of Rotary Park, D.J. Ray Entertainment and Gateway Tire and Service will be hosting Spring Fling at Rotary Park on April 6th from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
There will be activities for the whole family. Horseshoe and Washer Pits, Crayon and Play-Doh Stations, Bouncy Houses, Sand Volleyball, Pool Noodle Activity Games, Food and Music. There will be a drawing for a $200.00 gift certificate from Gateway Tire and Service.
All proceeds go right back into Rotary Park in playground renovations and hiking trail improvements.

Last season’s tourney was postponed one week due to high waters and flooding that enveloped the area. Despite the delay, the tourney still drew 243 boats.
