Clarksville, TN – G.H.O.S.T. – or Greater Halloween Options for Safe Trick-or-treating – returns to the Austin Peay State University (APSU) campus this fall with a drive-through-style alternative for families on Halloween.
The event is free and open to anyone in the community. Austin Peay State University clubs and organizations, and groups from throughout the community, dress up and hand out candy.

Austin Peay State University’s Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Society chapter once again won the Nels A. Cleven Award for Best Chapter of the Year. That’s 10 in a row.

Clarksville, TN – For the 16th consecutive Halloween, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) at Austin Peay State University (APSU) is collecting new and gently used children’s books for its Candy for the Mind project.
Members of the campus and local community are invited to support this effort through donations of books or money for the purchase of books.
APSU students give back with “Big Event”

Clarksville, TN – A bright red wave swept across Clarksville last Saturday, March 21st, wiping away debris and litter, and leaving a grateful community in its wake.
That wave consisted of about 500 Austin Peay State University students participating in The Big Event—a day of service that allows students to express their gratitude to the community that supports their University.
Austin Peay State University Physics Club named outstanding chapter

Clarksville, TN – Last year, members of Austin Peay State University’s Society of Physics Students (SPS) chapter sent an email to the national organization, loaded with 45 megabytes of attachments.
Somehow, the email made it to College Park, MD, where officials probably spent weeks wading through hundreds of images and documents detailing all the activities the APSU club, known Del Square Psi, had participated in throughout the year.
Austin Peay State University Phi Kappa Phi Chapter awarded top distinction

Clarksville, TN – The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) at Austin Peay State University is one of 19 chapters in the nation to earn the Chapter of Excellence distinction for 2012-13.
APSU’s achievement was formally announced by the national PKP headquarters in Baton Rouge, LA. APSU was awarded this national distinction in 2011 as well. Other chapters in the nation were honored with the Chapter of Merit award.
Annual G.H.O.S.T. Event Draws Near

Clarksville, TN – G.H.O.S.T. (Greater Halloween Options for Safe Trick-or-Treating) is Austin Peay’s Student Government Association’s most successful and well-known community outreach event.
Held annually around Halloween each year, the event provides children from surrounding communities to trick-or-treat in a safe and controlled environment. Austin Peay student organizations also use G.H.O.S.T. as an outlet to promote their groups and assist in making the occasion fun and interactive for children and their families.
