Montgomery County Parks and Recreation to hold 100 Year Celebration for South Guthrie Community Center

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Warfield School, presently known as South Guthrie Community Center, from September 8th through September 10th.
On the first day of the 100-year celebration, September 8th, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, Executive Director of the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center Frank Lott will share his extensive knowledge of the architecture of Rosenwald Schools and the renovation to revive the South Guthrie Community Center.
Sam’s Club to hold 1st Annual Food Truck Rally September 2nd

Clarksville, TN – Sam’s Club is gearing up for its 1st Annual Food Truck Rally this Saturday, September 2nd, 2017. The Clarksville store is one of 12 Sam’s Clubs in the Middle Tennessee District participating in the event that will put local food trucks in the spotlight.
“We have a lot of food truck, and other small business owners who shop with us, and they are very important to our club,” Sam’s Club’s Diane Uythoven said. “Sam Walton started Sam’s club as a way to cater to small businesses. We believe that we’re in business because they’re in business, and we want to show our support for this community and all its hard-working small business owners.”

Clarksville-Montgomery County Residents must take precautions during August 21st event
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County is in the path of the Great American Eclipse of August 21st, 2017, making this a prime destination for those who want to view this rare astronomical occurrence.
This will be the first coast-to-coast eclipse in 98 years and the first in the continental United States since 1978. The eclipse can only be seen in a path 60 miles wide across the United State, so this will be a once in a lifetime experience to to witness a fascinating natural phenomenon.
