SpiritFest 2023 to be held Saturday, December 2nd

SpiritfestClarksville, TN – On Saturday, December 2nd, Spiritfest 2023 will be held in downtown Clarksville from 2:00pm to 4:30pm. Come to the corner of Third Street and Main Street for holiday festivities!

At the Downtown Commons (215 Legion Street), there will be live music, Santa Claus, kids’ activities, and food trucks. At 4:30pm, Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden will light the Christmas Tree.

Warm up inside Trinity’s Parish Hall (317 Franklin Street) with cookies and hot chocolate.

Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade set for this Saturday, December 2nd

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The annual Lighted Christmas Parade, jointly presented by the Clarksville and Recreation Department and Montgomery County, will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at 5:00pm.

The parade route will begin on Eighth Street on the Austin Peay State University campus. The parade will progress from Eighth Street to College Street and then to University Avenue.

From there, the parade will proceed around Public Square, the Historic Courthouse, and back to Franklin Street. The route will turn from Franklin onto Eighth Street and then return to the APSU Campus.

The Last Ride: Austin Peay State University’s final Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert to be held October 27th

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) iconic Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert has been selling out shows and shaping seasonal traditions for decades, and this year, the ensemble is bringing the community along for one last ride.

The 39th and final Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert will feature back-to-back performances on Friday, October 27th at 6:00pm and 8:00pm in the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall. Admission is $5.00 or two cans of food donated to Loaves and Fishes.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade to be held November 11th

Montgomery County Veterans Service OrganizationMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 11th, 2023, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville. The keynote speaker is Air Force Master Sergeant (Ret) Joe Thomas, Jr.

This year’s Veterans Day Parade theme is “Salute to Veterans in Law Enforcement.”

“The Veterans Day Parade allows the community to come together and thank our military veterans for their service and sacrifice. I hope to see our community come out to support some of our local heroes,” said Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden.
