Rivers and Spires Festival was great fun for everyone

Clarksville, TN – The 13th annual Rivers and Spires Festival concluded Saturday, April 18th with beautiful weather, great music, wonderful food and entertainment for everyone.
Speaking of food, there were freshly dipped corn dogs, kettle corn, funnel cakes, hotdogs, brats, gyros along with plenty of iced tea and lemonade. The gyros was particularly good. Everything was reasonably priced.
Rock the Mall All Thanksgiving Weekend Long at Governor’s Square Mall

Clarksville, TN – Governor’s Square Mall will be opening all mall doors beginning at 6:00pm on Thursday, November 27th, 2014. The majority of mall stores will be open by 8:00pm. There will be giveaways, prizes and entertainment starting at 8:00pm.
The first 1,000 people at the main entrance beginning at 8:00pm will receive a free reusable tote bag. Shoppers can register between 8:00pm – Midnight to win a $250.00 mall gift card. Winner will be announced at midnight in Dick’s Sporting Goods Court (must be present to win). [Read more]

Come to enjoy entertainment, meet candidates for public office, and purchase excellent chicken and pork barbecue. The picnic grounds are located between Hwy 13 and Alonzo Place in Cunningham, TN.

Clarksville, TN – “Brain Health A to Z” health expo will be held Saturday, August 17th at First Baptist Church. This health expo is presented by the Mid South Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The expo will be open from 9:00am until 1:00pm.
“Brain Health A to Z” is for the community to learn more about brain health and Alzheimer’s disease/dementia. Some may have a loved one with Alzheimer’s, a family history of Alzheimer’s or may just be interested in brain health. Attendees may come and go as they wish.

Clarksville Community Black History Council to celebrate Emancipation August 8th-10th

Clarksville, TN – Starting August 8th through August 10th there will be a series of events to celebrate Emancipation sponsored by the Clarksville Community Black History Council
On Thursday, August 8th, there will be a Spiritual Convocation at Greater Missionary Baptist Church beginning at 7:00pm.
“Sixteen pastors have been selected across racial, cultural and church denominational lines will discuss four areas connected to the emancipation: bondage, slavery, freedom and unity,” said Pastor Jerry Jerkins.
