Daymar College Play-A-Thon set for July 23rd

Clarksville, TN – Daymar College, in Clarksville, will host a Play-A-Thon family event July 23rd, 2016 from 9:00am-1:00pm.
There will be inflatables, carnival type food, music, games, a ride-a-thon, door prizes, limited school supplies and a drawing for a bike or two.

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, July 15th, 2016, the 3rd annual School Resource Officer Golf Scramble will be held on Friday, July 16th, 2016 at the Swan Lake Golf Course. This is a four man scramble with a shotgun start and pre-registration.
The entry fee is $60.00 per player. Entry fee includes Greens Fee, Cart, Lunch, Door Prizes and more. $20.00 for two Mulligans, Skirt and a Throw can be bought the morning of the scramble.

Yellow Creek Baptist Church’s Community Easter Egg Hunt simply a delight

Cumberland City, TN – Yellow Creek Baptist Church held their annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 26th, 2016. Registration started at 9:00am and the Easter Egg hunt began just after 10:00am.
The Easter Egg hunt was divided into three divisions: Pre-K, K-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade. 10,000 eggs filled with candy were scattered between the three fields. Each division also had 200 eggs with tickets. Each child that registered got a ticket. Those tickets make them eligible for the door prizes.

They welcome all classic cars/trucks, muscle cars, streetrods and hotrods. There will be Door prizes, 50’s/60’s Music and more.

Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Animal Care and Control will host its first annual Howl-O-Ween Tricks Fur Treats Extravaganza on Saturday, October 24th, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at their facility located at 616 North Spring Street.

Montgomery County, TN – Hundreds came out to support two events today in memory of fallen Deputy David “Bubba” Johnson.
A light mist had begun falling shortly after 8:00am when Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson spoke to the crowd of hundreds of runners waiting to begin the Inaugural Bubba Johnson Memorial 5K Road Race.
“I think Bubba is watching over us today,” Fuson said. “It’s the perfect weather for a run.”

Montgomery County, TN – Two back-to-back events will be held Saturday in honor of fallen Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy David “Bubba” Johnson.
First, the Inaugural Bubba Johnson Memorial 5K Road Race begins at 8:30am Saturday, July 19th beginning at The Montgomery County Historic Courthouse, Clarksville, TN. There is also a 1-mile “fun run-walk” that will begin and end at Clarksville First Baptist Church.

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, June 21st, 2014, the third annual 65 Roses Car, Truck, and Bike Show will be held at the Clarksville Speedway.
The event is a 100% charity event to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and kicks off the final day of the Clarksville Fair.
20th annual APSU Governors Bass Tournament to be held Saturday, May 10th

Clarksville, TN – The 20th annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament is just a week away.
This year’s edition, which will be held Saturday, May 10th, at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing, Tennessee, State Park, promises to be more accessible for entrants and families alike.
Last May entrants were forced to use the back entrance because of flooding. Despite that obstacle, the tourney drew 282 boats — 14 more than in 2012.
