Customs House Museum & Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – One of the state’s most photographed structures, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center in Downtown Clarksville, will soon be as photogenic after dark as it has been in the daytime.

The Museum is adding a new feature to the historic 1898 Post Office and Customs House building that proudly graces the corner of South Second Street and Commerce Street.

Clarksville Downtown Parking Changes Proposed

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Downtown merchants and property owners gathered Wednesday to hear City of Clarksville officials and consultants from Premier Parking outline potential changes to on-street metered parking in Downtown Clarksville.

City officials said the changes would create a more consumer friendly approach to downtown parking and overcome some of the current system’s equipment and enforcement challenges.

Montgomery County Veterans Service OrganizationMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 9th, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.

The keynote speaker is U.S. Army retired Colonel Rob Salome, who now serves as the Director of Strategy and Leadership Development for Solutions 21, a nationwide consulting firm.

This 5k will take place in Historic Downtown Clarksville starting at the Clarksville Police Department and going through the downtown area.

The event will take place Saturday, May 11th, 2019 from 9:00am until 11:00am.

Visit Clarksville announces Street Closures for High Roller Criterium, May 19th

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Several downtown streets will close and the transit service will be temporarily relocate on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 when Clarksville hosts its first High Roller Criterium (crit).

The Clarksville Transit System will be staging on Cooper Place and Academy Avenue behind Cumberland Bank & Trust (off of Madison Street) during the event.

Murals, Sculptures, Fountains and Flames Fill Clarksville’s Public Art Trail

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Clarksville unveiled its 21st public art piece this month. Twelve of the pieces – at least – are in a proximity that’s easily walkable within the city’s downtown core.

Murals, sculptures, fountains, and flames are among the art pieces you’ll see showcased along city streets, urban trails, buildings and throughout the campus of Austin Peay State University, which is adjacent to downtown. Many of the works were designed or created by Clarksville artists.
