APSU music double major Garrett Coscolluela a part of world championship-winning drum corps

Clarksville, TN – For the past four years, Austin Peay State University senior music education and music performance double major Garrett Coscolluela has spent one weekend in August marching on the field of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
But it wasn’t until this past August — in his final trip to the home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts — that Coscolluela had the hardware to prove he was among the best in what’s considered the major leagues of marching band performance.

New exhibit at APSU showcases road trip paintings across America

Clarksville, TN – For the last 12 years, Gregory Botts has been criss-crossing the nation with a car loaded full of art supplies, painting the sites and varying light he encountered.
At first begun as a clarification of the larger abstract works that he was making in the studio, these paintings have grown into their own body of impressive works that feed and inform his larger body of work. Austin Peay State University’s Trahern Gallery is proud to host the first large survey of these works in connection with his larger studio paintings this winter, “Gregory Botts: Painting Along the Road.”
Planters Bank Gallery Hosts Scenes by Kay Lamirande in June

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Artist Kay Limirande will show an exhibit of landscapes and nature scenes at the Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery on Thursday, June 5th – Wednesday, July 2nd.
Lamirande’s exhibit includes scenes from France, Japan, and Colorado, along with a variety of beach scenes in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and drawings.
Appleton Harley-Davidson Open House Saturday, May 5th

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, May 5th, Appleton Harley-Davidson will be holding their Spring Open House starting at 10:00am. There will be live concerts, food from Don Pancho’s, sales deals, ice cold Budweiser products as well as the Purrfect Angelz from America’s Got Talent.
Come out and join the celebration at Appleton Harley-Davidson. Listen to music by Buck McCoy and RB Stone starting at 11:00am. You do not want to miss the dance routines by Purrfect Angelz at 10:00am. The open house will be going on all day.
New APSU Biogeography Class to Take Students to Rocky Mountains

Clarksville, TN – The base camp, consisting of a few tents and sleeping bags, will sit in a secluded valley, in the shadow of the 14,000-foot Blanca Peak in Colorado. At night, when the exhausted team of researchers returns from their 2,000-foot hike to get some rest, they’ll have to bundle up to warm themselves against the cold air blowing down the mountain.
