Austin Peay State University student newspaper earns two national awards for “Rebuild, Reflect”

Clarksville, TN – The All State student newspaper at Austin Peay State University (APSU) recently earned two national Apple Awards at the Spring National College Media Convention hosted in New York City in March.
Both awards honored a special edition called “Rebuild, Reflect” commemorating the 20-year anniversary of the tornado that hit APSU and Downtown Clarksville.
APSU graphic design students create new logo for Coca-Cola Bottling Works of Tullahoma

Clarksville, TN – Earlier this year, when executives with Coca-Cola Bottling Works of Tullahoma discussed creating a new company logo, they reached out to one of their newest clients – Austin Peay State University (APSU).
On July 1st, 2017, the company became the campus’ exclusive beverage provider, and a year later, Rachel Bush, associate professor of art, heard the company wanted to host a logo design contest. She contacted the Tullahoma office with a different idea.

First Annual Wags & Wings Family Fun Fest has huge turnout

Clarksville, TN – Wags & Wings Family Fun Fest combined pet-friendly activities with aviation exhibits for a one-of-a-kind festival experience that attracted more than 2,200 people to Clarksville Regional Airport, October 14th, 2017.
Presented by the Airport, the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County and title sponsor Fortera Credit Union, organizers called the multi-faceted first year event a high-flying success.
Attendees at the Wags & Wings Family Fun Fest enjoy helicopter rides, October 14th. Airplane and helicopter rides were part of the inaugural event at Clarksville Regional Airport, which raised awareness for the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County and its mission. (Josh Vaughn)
