Clarksville Police Union held “Cops and Bobbers”, Saturday

Clarksville, TN – The annual “Cops and Bobbers” sponsored by the Clarksville Police Union #18 was held on Saturday, May 18th, 2019. The weather was perfect for the event.
There were approximately 50 children who came out and enjoyed an opportunity to fish in the Liberty Park pond. Each of the children were given a fishing pole, tackle, and bait to try out their fishing skills.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Union, comprised of local enforcement officers, held their second annual Cops and Bobbers at Liberty Park’s pond.
There were 50 eager fishers on hand ready to do battle and try to outsmart the elusive fish. There were varying degree of success in that endeavor, but everyone seemed have a good time.
All the participants were provided everything needed for their fishing adventure from tackle boxes to bait. There were also snacks and drinks given out to help keep the boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 12 fueled and strong.

Clarksville, TN – Since Mission BBQ opened their doors in Clarksville, they have repeatedly shown their willingness to follow their Mission Statement of: “We Are Proudly Serving Those Who Serve”.
Mission BBQ just donated a total of $6792.00 to the Clarksville Police Union and Clarksville Fire Fighters Association which equates to $3396.00 to each non-profit organization.
Clarksville Police Department brings Christmas Cheer to 120 local kids

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, December 14th, 2013, at 8:00am, the Clarksville Police Union and FOP’s, “Shop with a Cop” was a great success. Officers took over 120 local children, from all over Montgomery County, shopping. Each child spent $100 on clothes and toys.
The children were nominated by 18 Montgomery County Elementary school guidance counselors, Clarksville Police Department employees, and Montgomery County citizens. Every effort was made to find children in need, and make sure they received gifts for Christmas.
Clarksville Police Department’s “Shop with a Cop” happens this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, December 14th, 2013, at the Sango WalMart, at 8:00am, the Clarksville Police Department is hosting the Shop with a Cop Event.
The Clarksville Police Union and the FOP jointly sponsor the event. There will be between 100 and 150 children shopping. Eighteen Elementary Schools guidance counselors, Clarksville Police personnel, and citizens of our community nominated the children chosen.
Clarksville Police Union “Clothe a Child” event Saturday

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, September 14th 2013, at the Sango Wal-Mart, at 8:00am, the Clarksville Police Union will be taking fifty under-privileged children clothes shopping. Each child will get to spend $100.00.
The children have been selected from 10 elementary schools spread throughout Montgomery County. The event will last no more than (1) one hour. Detective Tyler Barrett urges anyone to come out to assist and that the event should be fun for all involved.
Clarksville Police Officers bring a Merry Christmas to 210 children and their families

Clarksville, TN – On December 15th, 2012, the Clarksville Department in conjunction with the Clarksville Police Union and Fraternal Order of Police made the holidays much brighter for 210 local children by sponsoring the children to a holiday shopping spree at one of the three area, Walmart Supercenter’s. The Police Union and Fraternal Order of Police spent over $20,000 to ensure these kids would have Christmas to remember.
“In these tough economic times when we have so many parents being laid off or losing their jobs as companies downsize; for some of these children, this will be their only Christmas,” said Tyler Barrett, President of the Clarksville Police Union. “We reached out to these families and try to assist them and make sure that their children are able to have the Christmas they deserve.”
Clarksville Police Department’s Operation Defiance Trunk-or-Treat

Clarksville, TN – On October 28th, 2012, the Clarksville Police Department in conjunction with several community partners hosted a Trunk-or-Treat in the Operation Defiance area at the New Providence Community Policing Center.
It is part of the Police Department’s multifaceted efforts to build rapport and improve the quality of life in the Operation Defiance community.
