Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to present Learning Series for Nonprofit Organizations and Board Members

Hands On ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County Nonprofit Partnership Network and Hands on Clarksville will host the third in the series of training sessions to assist the nonprofit community on June 20th, 2012 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library.

The event is part of the 2012 Learning Series that provides training and professional networking opportunities for nonprofits, board members and other professionals interested in the area of nonprofit leadership and management.

Hands On ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Hands on Clarksville and the Nonprofit Partnership Network will hold its first annual “Connecting for Good,” Resource Fair designed to connect nonprofit organizations with local businesses and the community. The event will be held on Tuesday, November 8th, 2011 from 11:00am-4:00pm, at the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce Office located at 25 Jefferson Street in the Green Bank.

Most people recognize that Clarksville-Montgomery County’s nonprofit sector—a rich array of organizations of diverse sizes and purposes deliver crucial services that bring hope and help to some of our community’s most vulnerable citizens. Chris Burawa, director of the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, had an article, titled “An Interview with Afaa Michael Weaver,” published in the Summer 2011 edition of Contemporary Literature. The article also was written by Cynthia Hogue and Stacey Waite. Burawa also will have a poem, “Dripping Surgery,” to appear in the October 2011 edition of Hayden’s Ferry Review. [Read more]
