Wags & Wings Family Fun Fest a Huge Success

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Regional Airport (CRA) in partnership with the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County began a new tradition this weekend with the 1st Annual Wags & Wings Family Fun Fest on Saturday, October 14th, 2017.
Humane Society’s Courtney Berlyak talked about the success of the event and the fortuitous timing of CRA’s John Patterson’s proposal, coming just as Humane Society leaders had decided to end its annual Wags to Witches Fur Ball Bash.

High-flying Frisbee dogs, gourmet chicken wings, beautiful aircraft and entertainment for the whole family will highlight this new event at the Airport.
Total Solar Eclipse Signals Biggest Day in Clarksville Regional Airport History

Clarksville, TN – The Great American Eclipse of 2017 on August 21st was a once-in-a-lifetime event for many in Clarksville. But for Clarksville Regional Airport it was also a historic milestone that eclipsed all previous single day aircraft traffic records at the public-use airport.
The airport embraced its role as the “front door to Middle Tennessee” and invited people from across the world to fly-in to the facility located near the Tennessee-Kentucky state line to experience the total solar eclipse.

Montgomery County Animal Care and Control waves adoption fees through February 18th

Montgomery County, TN -Montgomery County Animal Care and Control is waiving adoption fees during the week of Valentine’s Day (February 13th-18th) to help unite pets with their sweethearts. Animals who are already spayed or neutered can go home for $12.00. Adoption fees will be waived for the entire week.
In addition, a discounted microchipping event will be held Saturday, February 18th from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

In March, Stephen Dominy, coordinator of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs, was named the NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education Fraternity & Sorority Knowledge Community co-chair. Clarksville Montgomery County Humane Society to hold 3rd Annual SPAY-ghetti Dinner

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, April 11th the Clarksville Montgomery County Humane Society is holding their Spay-ghetti Dinner at First Presbyterian Church. The dinner starts at 5:00pm with the last seating at 7:00pm.
Tickets are only $10.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Kids 10 and under. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread, drink and dessert provided by George the Cake Guy. Drive-Thru Available pick up is available.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Humane Society’s Wags to Witches raises almost $13,000

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County held their annual Wags to Witches Fur Ball Bash on Saturday, raising almost $13,000 that will go to help fund their operations over the coming year.
The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County uses the funds to provide low-cost Spay/Neuter vouchers, Pet Fostering, along with counseling and education services. They are also working to establish the first low cost Spay-Neuter clinic in our community which will help pet owners be able to afford to do their part in controlling the stray dog and cat population in the county.
