APSU Provost Lecture Series to discuss Axis POWs

Clarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University history faculty member whose research focuses on prisoners of war (POW) will talk about the Axis POWs held in the U.S. during World War II as part of the next Provost Lecture Series at APSU.

APSU Provost Lecture Series to focus on volcanic eruption

Clarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University geologist whose expertise in volcanoes is well established in the field will share a three-dimensional analysis of the 1999 eruption of the Shishaldin Volcano in Alaska as part of the next Provost Lecture Series at APSU.
Dr. Lindsay Szramek, assistant professor of geosciences, will present “Three-Dimensional Analysis of Mafic Pumice from the 1999 sub-Plinian eruption of Shishaldin Volcano, Alaska” at 3:00pm, Thursday, November 8th in the Morgan University Center, Room 303. Austin Peay State University Provost Lecture Series discusses students’ critical thinking skills in writing

Clarksville, TN – The effects of an intended audience on students’ critical thinking skills in writing assignments will be the topic of the next Provost Lecture Series at Austin Peay State University.
Dr. Gray Kane, faculty development analyst in APSU’s Center for Teaching and Learning, will present “Intended Audience and Critical Thinking Skills” at 3:00pm, Thursday, September 27th in the Morgan University Center, Room 303.
