Austin Peay to hold Free Photo Shoot by Professional Photographers for Military-Affiliated Individuals, Families

Clarksville, TN – On June 15th, a group of professional university photographers will take over the Austin Peay State University Red Barn and convert the building’s old basketball court into a temporary photo studio.
From 2:00pm-5:00pm that afternoon, these photographers—known for creating official and iconic images for institutions across the country like the University of Wisconsin, Baylor University and Wake Forest University —will take free portraits of any local individual with a direct military connection—including active duty soldiers, veterans and their families.
CASE III honors Austin Peay State University Public Relations and Marketing for its excellence

Clarksville, TN – The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University has been recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) – Southeast District III for its promotional work.
The awards were announced during the CASE III annual conference held in February in Nashville, Tennessee.

Clarksville, TN – The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University won eight awards during the Tennessee College Public Relations Association spring conference and awards contest held June 12th-13th at Lipscomb University in Nashville.
TCPRA – an alliance of communicators across the state representing public and private colleges and universities, technical schools, technology centers and community colleges – awarded gold, silver and bronze distinctions in various writing, design, publication and photography categories. Clarksville, TN – The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University has been recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) – Southeast District III for its publications, graphic design and photography.
The University received an Award of Excellence in the category of print and digital publications. The printed piece selected for the honor was “Scoring New Beginnings,” a fundraising and information piece for APSU football alumni. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – Faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University recently announced a number of publications, conferences and credentials as part of their professional and scholarly activities.
Michele Tyndall, project manager in the APSU Office of Public Relations and Marketing, and Dr. Melony Shemberger, former assistant director of communication at APSU, will present a session at The Council for Advancement and Support Education’s District III Conference in Orlando, FL, this February. APSU administrators have new titles this year

Clarksville, TN – Two members of the Austin Peay State University community returned to campus this fall with new job titles in order to maintain the University’s status as a thriving institution of higher education.
President Obama highlighted that status in August when he singled out APSU as a leader in using technology to better serve students.

Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday afternoon, Austin Peay State University President Tim Hall stood before a small group of about 50 students and said they were one of the main reasons he loves going to work each morning.
“It makes us proud that we get the chance to work with heroes,” he said.
